Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the common hormonal condition, has recently been renamed to polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS). Experts are welcoming the change that was years in the making. Dr. Lucky Sekhon says that the new name is meant to better reflect the fact the condition is not just about "ovarian cysts." Many people with the condition do not have that as a symptom.
